Lawanda Leggett Obituary, Death – Greetings, this is Tracy Simpson. I am launching this GoFundMe page on behalf of my sister Lawanda Leggett and her members. On December 24, 2023, a terrible vehicle accident occurred on 441 in Douglas, Georgia, involving LaWanda and her four children, Jazmine (26), Le’Kya (18), Cash (9), and Samere (6). Due to life-threatening injuries, all of them were transported to Memorial Hospital in Savannah, Georgia.

Lawanda was on her way to the hospital to pick up her oldest daughter, who was suffering from a severe asthma attack. She drove quickly to attempt to get Jazmine to the hospital since she was having breathing problems and had stopped. Although the exact cause of the tragedy is unknown, the family’s top priority is for everyone to return home. Lawanda has a smashed kneecap in addition to shattered femurs in both legs.

Jazmine cut her neck’s major artery, which cannot be healed, and is in a coma with significant brain edema. The medical professionals have advised us that she might not recover from her wounds, but since God is greater than man, we have faith that He will make things better for her. Since then, Le’Kya and Cash—who both had fractured legs—have been released from the hospital and are recuperating at home.

Due to damage to the arteries in his neck, the youngest Samere will always be nonverbal and crippled. For this family of twelve, this is a tragic occasion because the father is ill and experiencing health problems. The dynamics of this family will never be the same after this accident. I’m attempting to assist them with other needs, medical costs, and financial support. Both the father and the mother are unemployed, and they have seven children under the age of eighteen who will require assistance.
